Basketball Warm Ups No Words

Rio de Janeiro!

Hello friends,
As you know, yes, I've spent the last week with my parents in Rio ...
Actually I wanted to Dominican on Tuesday, making a Kommillitonin in Niteroi, the to see the city, but had since my flight again three hours late which was unfortunately not ... I'm right then a taxi from the airport to our hotel down to the Copacabana.

My parents first arrived later and I am still a bit of a walk on the beach gone. Since I wanted to smooth off an older man my shoes because the gave him so much. As I have said that I still need is, he ran away again.
the evening I went to the airport and have my parents picked up their plane had unfortunately also 1.5 hours late. When they arrived at last ran through the gate I was thrilled. We were still eating in a restaurant in Copacabana pounds.
The next morning we made after breakfast on the way to Corcovado. A taxi drove up and we have stopped at all vantage points.

Unfortunately, the view was not entirely clear, but the view was still unique.

And Christ is soooo huge, really impressive.

then we went through the largest urban forest in the world: Floresta da Tijuca.

That was also super nice and from anywhere you have so many nice views of the different neighborhoods of Rio.
Every night is set up at the Copacabana, a small market where you can buy really anything, such as figures of Christ, "real" football jerseys, chains, earrings, etc ... There we also a bit shopped;)
On the next day, the Jardim Botanico and the Sugar Loaf on the program.

The botanical garden is really super nice and we even saw monkeys on the Sat, and ate fruit ..
then we went to the Sugar Loaf and unfortunately it was a little hazy so we did not have the best view of what must lie well to the season.

Nevertheless, it was great, and as we have seen quite a lot of monkeys;)

I'm really thrilled by the city and it is so so pretty, as they say always. Above all, I noticed that the Cariocas are much friendlier, happier and more open than the Paulistas. S crazy, I would much rather have stayed there;)
On the third day we took a look at the first big football stadium, Maracana. The located in the northern zone of Rio, and we went there by metro. When we got out, I was a bit frightened at first, because the stadium aussenrum favelas everywhere and the road from the metro to the stadium will reside on a confusing bridge under a lot of people. I was just happy when we were inside the stadium. And that's just riiiiesig:

are we then drove to the Metro back to the center and have a walk around the center, churches viewed, and purchased. This is for example the Francis Church. It is completely gilded.

This is the Cathedral of São Sebastião:

So I have to say really, so pretty I do not find it. It stands between houses in the middle of the city and does not fit the picture in and is just large and round. But like ... Wems
And as a highlight of the day, the tram ride was with the old Bonde to Santa Teresa, before the artists' quarter. The track is simply awesome. There is room to sit for 32 people. But who wants to ride so, stand on the running boards and to hold. On the way to Santa Tereza are more and more people jumped on the train and in the end 50 people were on the train. The train has barely managed to ride the mountains are high, but it was wicked.

And on our last day we then applied to the Copacabana in the sun and Cocosnusswasser drunk. My parents have taken to the airport and are then directly drove to another airport, because they are flown back to Germany yesterday. My flight was wonderful then again 2 hours late, but you can really expect anything else if you want to Sao Paulo ...
am Today I drove with my roommates to the center, the Edifício Itália, the tallest building in the city. When I then looked down from above, I have been amazed. You see there really just houses and buildings and houses. Uuuuunglaublich!

On the way back had come wirs then no longer so easy to go home. Unfortunately, today was the gay parade in São Paulo. In the metro were crowds of people, that was incredible. And were the almost dressed all in some costumes and have cried hysterically the whole time around. I felt like a bunch of crazy women. But the costumes were really interesting.
and tomorrow I work again;. (But I have now switched to my request, the department and work in the chemical laboratory of the company where the axes are painted and corrosion tests are conducted morning I start my project and on Tuesday I had a guide in BASF. I am very excited!
So you at home, doing well, see you soon, Do Your
